Fan (2007)

This is another piece that I created for my Art II class. The concept was to take a single object and use repetition, but also observing and drawing different angles and sizes of that item. We were instructed to use a tool such as a wrench, but I decided to do a fan. I had a lot of fun creating this, especially drawing the large fan in the background.

This is the second piece that was submitted for participation in VASE. Like "Appearances Can Be Deceiving," this received a Superior rating. Knowing that both of my pieces were chosen for a second round and that they both had the potential to be chosen made me really happy.
