Art Update 1

3 min read
I have finished pieces that I need to either scan or photograph so that I can upload them. So far, most of my work up on DA has a unifying theme, but I have other pieces that are not related to Japan and more jewelry that I made a while ago. I'm having trouble taking good photos of jewelry. The ones I've taken so far are not to my liking. I really wish I'd taken better photos of the commissioned pieces that I have up, but I ran out of time. I finished the heart pendant on December 23rd and delivered it to my client's house that evening.

I have some 2D Design assignments that are nice and a pair of pumpkins that are really awesome! My watercolor teacher said they were and I think so too. I had lots of fun painting them.

I have a painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe that I started painting for my mother. I hope to finish that soon though it may be a few months before I do. I also have some jewelry ideas brewing in my head and I've been looking at some cabochons to buy. I have some nice cabs that I can work on now. I may create a pair of earrings and a ring next. I've also decided that this year, I want to make a sword pendant for my friend's birthday. I have time to work on a design because his birthday isn't until May. That is definitely plenty of time.

It's really cold and I can't stand it, but as soon as it starts feeling nice I want to finally go fix a painting that is in a neighborhood bus stop. People have scratched the paint off. [EXO] Sad Luhan Emoticon It'll also give me a chance to fix some errors made in my beginner acrylic painter days when I was in high school. I'm thinking of using epoxy to keep people from scratching the paint off again. I'll experiment with that first and see how it goes. I'll upload results when I make something. I went to an art expo at a local independent art supply shop and I watched an epoxy painting demo. I bought the product as well, but haven't tried it out yet so we shall see. I should really go to their next expo.

That's it for now. Expect some new old art scans and photos soon~!
